Window 7 did not Load since after Changing the Workgroup and Format to the Unallocated Partition !

Question to troubleshoot Window 7 which is Not Booting UP while Freshly Install in a New Sata HDD.

The 320.00 GB Hard Disk contain 3 partition in which C Drive with Window 7. Space 50 GB

D Drive – 50GB (Files and Data)

E Drive – 70 GB (Blank)

100 MB Reserved containing System Files.

Unallocated Space – 150 GB.

Now here we goes in trouble, during this Operation: “

I did Partition in Unallocated space to create 80 GB Drive.

Got a message Format the Partition will erase and affect Operating system. I clicked OK.

After then, I also change the Workgroup, to Homegroup, in windows settings.

It ask to Restart Your PC. So I did. But surprisingly window did not load, only cursor is blinking.

I tried again after shutting it down. But it fails to load. “

I then tried System Recovery using Installation Disk.

Tried System Recovery Option. As given in Microsoft Forum for Bootrec and Bcdedit tools in Command Prompt.

One thing to NOTICE , during BCDEDIT /RebuildBcd

it shows Window installation : 0

DOES IT MEANS NO WINDOW Install??

Whereas, I can find out during Command prompt, C Drive still contains Windows Files, along with Bootmgr and other system files.

I am stuck now, as all solutions known to me fails.

Let me know if I can do anything else without going to reinstall Windows in this situation.

Any suggestion at the earliest will help me lot to fix it Out.

Posted by Drumsrus on Nov 01, 2008

When i run the restart disk, it says press F1 = Ok, so then the next screen says press C if it is ok to restart, the the computer shuts down and i have to run through the process again. It never progresses to the actual restarting part… Unusual case?

Its MBR is get corrupt. which can not be easily rectified. (with a Startup /Recover disk) You need to attach an External Hard disk which should be loaded with windows. Make it master after removing jumper. Once you boot it with and then download the MBR for your OS. Let me know the status uptothis.

Let me know first- do you wish to reinstall the Window or wish to repair ?? As for reinstalling you might lost all the data included in Root Directory: the main drive where the OS installed — to recover use the way I told you..

This virus will block your System Task Manager as well as some application from the startup as well as Registry Editor.

After running a good Spyware/Adware you can block them and these entries automatically.
